Uber expands portfolio with MetLife Stadium partnership

Ride-sharing company Uber has further expanded its venue portfolio through a partnership with MetLife Stadium in New Jersey.

The venue is home to two NFL American football franchises – the New York Giants and the New York Jets.

MetLife Stadium will create a dedicated pick-up zone for fans wishing to leave the stadium after an event located in Lot E, right outside the Verizon entrance.

As part of the agreement, both parties have made the first ride free, for up to $20, by using code METLIFE2017.

Jim Kirkos, Meadowlands Regional Chamber of Commerce chief executive and president, said, according to the New Jersey Biz website: “Together, MetLife Stadium and Uber will continue to grow the local economy, by helping residents and visitors enjoy all that the Meadowlands has to offer through cost-effective transport options.

“If you make it easier for people to get where they’re going, the benefits compound for everyone, customers and businesses alike.”
