Shake Shack to open at M&T Bank Stadium

M&T Bank Stadium will this season become the first NFL American football ground to feature a Shake Shack outlet.

A branch of the restaurant chain will be located by Section 109 of the stadium, which serves as the home of the Baltimore Ravens.

Shake Shack sells beef burgers, chicken sandwiches, griddled flat-top dogs, fresh-made custard shakes, crinkle-cut fries, craft beer and wine, among other products. It will mark the first time that shakes have been sold at M&T Bank Stadium.

The Shake Shack stand will be open for the Ravens’ pre-season friendly against the Washington Redskins on Thursday.

“I think it will be a great addition to the concession offerings we already have,” Roy Sommerhof, the Ravens’ senior vice-president of stadium operations, said. “They’re a great brand. They’re in other stadiums and arenas and they do very well there. It will be a great experience for our fans.”

Shake Shack already has a presence at Wells Fargo Center, home of NBA basketball team the Philadelphia 76ers and NHL ice hockey side the Philadelphia Flyers; Citi Field, home of MLB outfit the New York Mets; and Nationals Park, home of MLB franchise the Washington Nationals. M&T Bank Stadium marks the chain’s first move into the NFL.
