AXS unveils mobile-first seat view FanSight

AXS has partnered with the LA Clippers NBA team to launch its new 360-degree 3D view-from-seat experience, FanSight.

Clippers fans purchasing single game tickets for the team’s upcoming 2017-18 schedule at the 21,000-capacity Staples Center can now see the actual view from the seat they are considering.

FanSight is the latest innovation in view-from-seat technology as it is not only a mobile-first product but also offers a 3D digital visualisation of the venue from a bird’s-eye view and a fully immersive view from each individual seat.

“Today’s fan expects more when they purchase tickets, and don’t want to sacrifice anything when using their mobile phones,” said AXS chief executive Bryan Perez.

“With FanSight, we are delivering an industry-first experience, giving customers the most realistic view of what to expect at the event from the seats they are considering and the ability to make an educated and fun purchase.”

When selecting a ticket, fans can zoom directly into their selected seat using the ‘View From Seat’ map embedded within the purchase flow. Enlarging this window gives the purchaser the ability to look in all directions during full screen mode. Everything from the placement of scoreboards and screens, to the section behind and floor below can be examined using the 360° capabilities.

Los Angeles-based AXS said it will be rolling out its FanSight product throughout its portfolio through early 2018.

However, the Clippers are the first NBA team to introduce the technology, and it is now available for the purchase of single game tickets for the upcoming 2017-18 season.

“The Clippers are focused on enhancing our fan experience and purchasing a ticket is one of the first touchpoints a fan may have with our brand,” said Gillian Zucker, Clippers’ president of business operations.

“AXS will provide fans the most accurate view from a seat for a Clippers game, with a promise to bring to life an NBA game the way no other team – or ticket platform – in the league does.”
