Techfront shines with new QMS Sport deal

Sports technology company Techfront Australia has forged a strategic alliance with outdoor media firm QMS Sport which reinforces its position as the pre-eminent supplier and operator of on-field LED signage at stadia in Australia and New Zealand.

The media sales rights to all NRL rugby league games, including the State of Origin series, and select AFL Aussie rules football games, will be consolidated under the new alliance via QMS Sport, with Techfront providing a uniformed display across all on-field LED signage, including game-day operational duties.

The agreement means QMS Sport now represents the largest on-field sports media network in Australia. The expanded presence across the NRL and AFL competitions complement its existing media rights across the netball, rugby union, Football Federation Australia competitions and motor-racing series V8 Supercars.

John O’Neill, QMS’s chief executive, said “QMS Sport’s sales strategy has been to simplify brands’ access to the highly sought-after sports audience by strategically acquiring the media/marketing rights for the most popular sports, codes and events.”This deal cements QMS Sport as the largest sports rights media business in Australia and New Zealand and provides a dominant position across all major sporting codes in this country.”

The two parties said advertisers will now have the opportunity to targets sports fans across a fully integrated sports media channel, making it easier for brands to engage with the millions of fans who attend or view matches.

Techfront Australia’s general manager of sport, Luke Byrne, said: “Techfront Australia is looking forward to delivering and operating the largest on-field LED signage sporting program throughout Australia and New Zealand as part of this new alliance with QMS Sport.”
