Food for thought as MLB launches new festival

Major League Baseball (MLB) is to launch a new food festival as it seeks to showcase the famous dishes served at its ballparks.

The inaugural ‘MLB Food Fest’ will take place from April 21-22 near Bryant Park in New York, where all 30 MLB teams will be in attendance to show off their most loved food products.

Signature concession items due to feature at the event next month include the Pulled Pork Pierogi Hoagie, made famous at the Pittsburgh Pirates’ PNC Park, as well as the New England Lobster Roll Fenway Park, home of the Boston Red Sox.

Visitors will also have the chance to browse a hot dog art gallery, as well as enjoy a popcorn pit and access bar facilities throughout the event.

Tickets are priced at $25 (€20/£18) and this will cover the cost of entrance and the chance to sample all 30 food dishes at the event.

In addition, fans will be able to purchase three beer vouchers.
