Somerset CCC secures extension with cider partner

Somerset County Cricket Club has renewed its partnership with Thatchers Cider.

The new three-year deal will see Thatchers continue to sponsor the roof terrace at the club’s County Ground stadium.

The Thatchers Terrace is a balconied area located on the second floor of the Somerset Pavilion and provides unrivalled views of the playing surface and the surrounding Somerset countryside.

Thatchers also benefits from exclusive cider pouring rights at the County Ground, along with a day’s coaching session for young players, social media activities and fan competitions.

“Everyone at the club has thoroughly enjoyed working with Thatchers over the last few years,” Guy Wolfenden, head of commercial partnerships at the club, said. “They have grown to be a national brand, yet at the heart of everything they do is a passion for Somerset, supporting their local roots.

“Cricket and cider are integral parts of any summer and we are looking forward to another three fantastic years of working with Martin and his team.”

Martin Thatcher, managing director of the family-run company, added: “We have built up a very strong and loyal relationship with Somerset County Cricket since we first started working together back in 2012.

“We love being a part of the club’s extended family, sharing their commitment to the county, striving for the very best, and taking a pride in their roots. We look forward to another three years of successful partnership together.”
