Both contests form part of the new European Championships multi-sport event, which will be staged across a number of venues in the Scottish city of Glasgow and Berlin in Germany.
Sodexo will provide a selection of meals for all team officials, technical officials, volunteers, the ‘Championships Family’ and spectators at both the rowing and triathlon events at Strathclyde Country Park in Lanarkshire.
The company expects to serve more than 10,000 meals over the course of the 10-day event and plans to recruit an additional 50 staff to provide support during the two Championships events, which run from August 2-11.
Around 600 competitors are due to take part in the rowing competition, while approximately 160 triathlons will also feature in the other contest.
David Forbes, account manager at Sodexo Sports & Leisure, said: “Thanks to our wealth of experience we have both the knowledge and infrastructure to deliver the highest-quality service to locals and visitors to Strathclyde Country Park.
“Many of the team who will be working on the Glasgow 2018 European Championships also participated in our work with the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games, putting us in a prime position to deliver an outstanding service.”
