NFL American football franchise the San Francisco 49ers has revealed plans to stage its first-ever ‘Picnic on the Field’ at its Levi’s Stadium home.
Taking place on June 16, the event will feature a selection of food trucks and stands run by local restaurants, as well as beer tasting with local breweries.
In addition, visitors can enjoy live music, a kids zone with games and activities, and special appearances and autograph sessions with 49ers alumni.
General admission tickets are now on sale and cost $25 (€21/£19), while fans will also have the option to purchase VIP tickets to guarantee early entry and admission to a VIP field lounge, as well as various other benefits.
Funds raised from the event will go towards supporting the 49ers Foundation’s mission to harness American football to educate and empower youth in the Bay Area region.
Justin Prettyman, executive director of the 49ers Foundation, said: “The 49ers first-ever Picnic on the Field will be a fun opportunity for the Faithful to enjoy a family-friendly event on the Levi’s Stadium field while mingling with 49ers alumni and enjoying food and beverages from local business.
“The 49ers Foundation is excited to bring new fan-facing events like Picnic on the Field to the Faithful of all ages, while simultaneously supporting our mission of educating and empowering Bay Area youth.”
