Ascot extends with three suppliers

Berkshire’s Ascot Racecourse has renewed partnerships with three suppliers ahead of its schedule of summer events.

Lavazza has signed a new three-year deal to continue as the racecourse’s official coffee. Lavazza will invest in additional retail outlets across the site as part of the deal.

Garrard has also extended a deal to serve as the official trophy and silverware suppliers of the course, as well as an official sponsor. Garrard will produce new trophies that will be given to all winners of Group 1 races at Ascot.

Meanwhile, Harrogate Water has signed a new five-year deal to continue as the official spring water supplier of Ascot. The deal runs until 2022 and will see Harrogate continue to offer racegoers free bottles of spring water on exit during the course’s showpiece Royal Ascot event and other selected racedays as part of the ‘Pace Yourself’ drink awareness campaign.

Juliet Slot, chief commercial officer at Ascot Racecourse, said: “Ascot racedays are internationally celebrated events, quintessentially British and synonymous with elegance and style. We are delighted to continue to broaden our relationships with these organisations, all of which share so many of these values.

“Lavazza has a strong appreciation for events with rich history and rituals. The care taken in the crafting and pouring of their coffee mirrors the level of detail we put into our customer raceday experience.

“Garrard, like Royal Ascot, is a name steeped in history. The designs of the new trophies, which will be ready for the Royal Meeting, have been selected and approved by Her Majesty’s Representative and the Trustees of Ascot.

“Harrogate are a brand with refined heritage and spa origins dating back to 1571, which perfectly complements Ascot’s 300-year heritage.”

This year’s Royal Ascot event is scheduled for June 19-23.
