Dolphins unveil plans for new training facility

NFL American football franchise the Miami Dolphins has announced that it is to move into a new training facility by 2020 at the earliest.

The new site will be located on private land on the northwest side of the team’s Hard Rock Stadium.

The Dolphins have been practising at the Baptist Health Training Facility at Nova Southeastern University (pictured) since 1993.

Although the team did not go into a great amount of detail about the new facility, the Reuters new agency has reported that the project will set the Dolphins back between $75m (€64.6m/£58m) and $80m.

However, Reuters also said that the Miami-Dade County Commission has voted to subsidise the move.
