Amazon teams up with 49ers for ‘tailgating’ delivery service at Levi’s Stadium

Amazon has struck a first-of-its-kind partnership with the San Francisco 49ers that will allow the e-commerce giant’s Amazon Prime Now delivery service to provide fans at the NFL American football franchise’s stadium with “game-day” products.

Under the arrangement, fans will be able to order products – such as grill supplies and games – through the Prime Now App and PrimeNow.com website.

The products, which can be used for traditional ‘tailgating’ parties, will be delivered within one hour to customers’ dedicated parking spots in the car park of Levi’s Stadium.

“We take pride in the diverse pre-game culture developing at Levi’s Stadium and to involve an industry leader in online commerce like Amazon Prime Now in our game day experience will give our fans service and convenience they won’t find anywhere else,” said Brent Schoeb, the 49ers’ vice-president of corporate partnerships.

“Amazon Prime Now is really the only company that could deliver the kind of options and reliability that our fans need on game day.”
