New esports venue to open in Las Vegas

A new esports arena is scheduled to open in the US city of Las Vegas in November.

The arena, which will seat 400-500 people, will form part of a new 15,000-square foot complex. The complex is being opened by Millennial Esports, a new venture.

The arena will be located on Fremont Street in downtown Las Vegas and will host live esports tournaments and viewing parties for other online competitions. It will also feature the necessary equipment to allow fans to stream their own footage via online video platform Twitch.

The first event pencilled in for the arena will be the North American finals of the Halo Championship Series Open Circuit fromNovember 18-20.

Millennial Esports will be formed out of the forthcoming merger between online esports community Pro Gaming League Inc. and Stratton Capital, a Canadian-based fund.
