Legends acquires International Stadia Group

Sports, music and entertainment solutions provider Legends has acquired International Stadia Group (ISG), a London-based sports and entertainment company that works with teams and venue-owners to improve the spectator experience.

The deal ties in with US-based Legends’ strategy to extend its global capabilities and 360-degree platform and expand into markets outside of its home country. Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

Legends believes the acquisition of ISG, which will form part of its full-service platform solution, will lead to growth opportunities in Europe, Africa and the Middle East.

ISG will continue to be based in London and will be led by founder and chief executive Andrew Hampel alongside chief operating officer and head of research Richard Cheesman.

“Our clients and the spectator experience sit at the centre of all we do, supplemented by a data-driven approach to our work,” Hampel said. “Between us, we have worked on a collection of the most iconic stadia in the world. While ISG was pursued by several industry leaders, we were drawn to the Legends 360 platform and culture, inspiring our management team and board to decide to be acquired by Legends.”

ISG’s clients include Spanish LaLiga football clubs Atlético Madrid and Barcelona, English Premier League clubs Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester City, Turkish Süper Lig side Galatasaray and Italian Serie A outfit Udinese. ISG has also worked with London’s Twickenham Stadium and the Friends Arena in Sweden.
