New scoreboard for Hyderabad cricket stadium

A new digital scoreboard has been installed at the Rajiv Gandhi Stadium in Hyderabad, India.

The venue, also known as the Uppal Stadium, is operated by the Hyderabad Cricket Association.

The scoreboard will make its full major debut for the India v Bangladesh Test match in February, having been installed by TV Media Group.

The digital platform, which is situated in the west stand, will provide live pictures from the field plus other match details, including player statistics and details such as the temperature and weather forecasts.

The Hindu newspaper said that the installation has cost about R60m (£73,000/€81,000/$90,000).
