Hunter Roberts contracted to make Yankee Stadium enhancements

Hunter Roberts Construction Group has been selected to carry out structural and interior modifications at New York’s Yankee Stadium.

Hunter Roberts will help construct the new Bullpen Landings that will serve as open-air social gathering spaces at the ballpark.

The two spaces will feature their own specialty food and drink options to be enjoyed at drinks-rails with fitted USB outlets. Upon completion of the work, all obstructed-view seats will be removed from the area.

Hunter Roberts will deconstruct the bleachers and install new structural steel and concrete, building scaffold to support temporary roofing and existing utilities while installing the new decks and light fixtures.

The enhancements will seek to improve the guest experience at Yankee Stadium, which serves as the home of Major League Baseball team the New York Yankees and Major League Soccer franchise New York City FC.

It was announced in October that Yankee Stadium would undergo a series of enhancements ahead of the start of the 2017 MLB season. The Yankees’ managing general partner, Hal Steinbrenner, said at the time that fans’ requests had been for more “family-friendly and socially-oriented” spaces at Yankee Stadium.
