Emirates Stadium broken into by 'urban climbers'

English Premier League football club Arsenal has launched an investigation after two so-called ‘urban climbers’ broke into the Emirates Stadium and scaled its roof – and uploaded the footage to YouTube.

A YouTuber, who goes by the name of DyingLlama, was joined on the escapade by another individual. The pair entered the stadium at night and it is believed that the break-in was carried out over a week ago.

The 10-minute video, which can be viewed here, shows the pair breaking into the stadium, walking through an unlocked door and climbing to the top of the roof.

They proceed to walk daringly along the stadium’s structure, stopping to pose for pictures along the way.

The video was posted on Saturday and has prompted Arsenal to undertake an investigation into the security measures in place at the Emirates.

An Arsenal spokesman told the Daily Mirror newspaper: “Fan safety is a top priority and we take security at Emirates Stadium extremely seriously.

“We have launched an immediate investigation into this incident. We work closely with police and anti-terrorism experts and will be reviewing our procedures.”

The YouTuber also posted a clip at the end of the video that appeared to show him and others breaking into London Stadium, the home of Arsenal's Premier League rival, West Ham United.
