Avigilon's security solutions selected for Hard Rock Stadium

Security solutions company Avigilon has announced that its high-definition surveillance services have been selected for installation at Hard Rock Stadium, the home of NFL American football franchise, the Miami Dolphins.

Security company G4S has completed the initial stage of the installation process, having fitted the Avigilon Control Center software and 229 Avigilon surveillance cameras at Hard Rock Stadium. Phase two of the installation process will include 600 additional Avigilon cameras.

Avigilon’s HD Pro cameras allow the entire seating area of a venue to be covered and provide image detail to zoom in on a specific space.

Todd Boyan, senior vice-president of operations for the Dolphins, said: “Avigilon and G4S have successfully created a state-of-the-art security solution. Avigilon security solutions enable us to monitor the crowds and gives us the ability to identify and respond to potential security issues in a proactive manner."

The 65,000-capacity stadium also serves as the home of the University of Miami football team.
