NBA’s Bucks detail LED message board plans for new arena

NBA basketball franchise the Milwaukee Bucks has revealed plans to feature an LED message board at its new arena.

According to official planning documents seen by the Milwaukee Business Journal, the message board will wrap around the northwest corner to the arena, which is currently under construction in downtown Milwaukee.

The plans, submitted to the Milwaukee Plan Commission for approval, state that the board will look like a glass wall in daylight, but light up at night to display various messages.

The latest design feature will be considered by the Plan Commission at a meeting on February 13.

Once complete, the new arena, which has been given the tentative name of the Wisconsin Entertainment and Sports Center, will have a capacity of 17,500. The project is expected to cost approximately $524m (€490.9m/£423.7m).
