Further work to be carried out at Panthers’ stadium during NFL off-season

NFL American football team the Carolina Panthers has confirmed that the fourth and final phase of renovation work at its Bank of America Stadium is underway.

The work is focusing on enhancing the fan experience, with improvements being made to the 100 level space and Silver Club seats at the 75,000-seat stadium.

New signage and increase points of sales for concessions will be added in the 100 level space, with an all-you-can-drink soda option set to be one of the perks. Large-format television screens will also be added to club-level lounges on the 300 and 400 levels

Bank of America Stadium’s pitch is also being dug up to allow for the installation of a new irrigation and drainage system.

“When we started this journey seven years ago with architectural firms and general contractors and our people, we wanted to make a positive impact on the fan experience,” executive director of stadium operations Scott Paul said. “Once we finish this phase, our fans are going to have a brand new stadium. In the areas they see and touch and feel on game day, it’s going to be a brand new stadium.”

All major work is set to be ready in time for the start of the 2017 season later this year, although more “back of the house” updates are expected over the next two off-seasons.
