Staples Center partners with Pub Creative to upgrade app

AEG’s Staples Center in Los Angeles has upgraded its mobile app to improve ticketing and other amenities for visitors.

The new app for the multi-purpose venue was developed with branded content solutions provider Pub Creative. It allows users to access events, purchase tickets, browse the catering options throughout the arena, and order merchandise to their seat.

The Staples Center is home to several sports teams, including NBA franchises the LA Lakers and LA Clippers and the NHL’s LA Kings. The arena hosts over 250 events annually, with nearly four million guests each year.

Through the update, customers will have access to simple directions and traffic alerts through the connection with satellite navigation app, WAZE. Users will be sent traffic alerts and direct links for directions to all Staples Center operated car parks.

Once a customer has the app, they will receive promotional deals, such as discounted merchandise or parking at the arena’s various events.

“We are very happy to work with Staples Center and AEG on updating their app,” Pub Creative’s founding partner Bruce Birch said. “With our experience in helping brands connect with their audience, we are excited to be discussing new ways of elevating the fan experience at the arena as well as LA Live. We are looking forward to a great partnership.”

“Staples Center strives to continue to be an industry leader in digital media, mobile, social and interactive areas, and we believe our partnership with Pub Creative and the launch of our incredible new mobile app will help us to continue to grow our engagement and interaction with the over 3.5 million guests that visit our arena annually,” president of Staples Center, LA Live and Microsoft Theatre Lee Zeidman said.
