Barclays Center drinks to new rum partnership

Barclays Center, home of the Brooklyn Nets, has become the first NBA basketball venue to secure a partnership with Tanduay Rum.

Under the deal, Tanduay Rum will serve as the official rum of both the Barclays Center and the Nets, as well as becoming presenting sponsor of the venue’s 40/40 Club & Restaurant.

In addition, Tanduay Rum will be an associate sponsor of the Barclays Center’s ‘Brooklyn Show’ platform and benefit from branding on signage inside the arena.

“Tanduay is very proud to be part of this historic partnership, the first of its kind for a Filipino company,” Tanduay Rum president Lucio Tan said. “Tanduay and Brooklyn are a natural fit, and we look forward to building our legacy together.”

Brett Yormark, chief executive of Brooklyn Sports & Entertainment, which owns the venue, added: “Partnering with Tanduay is a valuable opportunity to welcome an emerging international business into our arena that will enhance the overall experience of our fans.”
