Gillette Stadium sets out concourse upgrade plans

Gillette Stadium, home of NFL American football franchise the New England Patriots, is to undergo an upgrade project that will see a series of improvements made to its concourse facilities.

Work has already begun on the upper levels of the Super Bowl LI champion’s facility, which also hosts the home matches of Major League Soccer outfit New England Revolution.

According to the Boston Globe, upgrades include a, full-service bar with roof canopy, which will be placed adjacent to the Super Bowl banners already in place at the 67,000-capacity stadium.

Covered space will be available at the landing for the venue’s four corners, with large doors to be open or closed, depending on the weather conditions during games.

In addition, a 10-inch wide rail for food and drinks will now be installed and encircle the entire concourse.

Officials at the Gillette Stadium have said that work is on track to be completed in time for the start of the 2017 season in September.
