New AO Stand introduced at Old Trafford cricket ground

Lancashire County Cricket Club has extended its partnership with online electrical retailer AO.com, with the firm to take on naming rights to the Family and Community Stand at Emirates Old Trafford.

Under the four-year agreement, the firm will also sponsor the club’s green Royal London One-Day Cup kit, as well as the continuation and development of the ‘Best Delivery’ bowling activation as part of the club’s Thunder and Lightning Roadshow across the North West region.

The new AO Stand will see enhanced experiences for families through the online electrical retailer’s work with Lancashire County Cricket Club. Changes will be seen at this year’s England v South Africa Test Match at Old Trafford, as well as across the domestic season, including the T20 Blast competition.

Daniel Gidney, chief executive of Lancashire CCC, said: “AO.com is a hugely innovative, fast growing business, and we are extremely proud to continue our relationship with them. Lancashire CCC is all about history and this partnership is all about creating new history. We are looking forward to growing with AO; a business that is digital in its heart as we both progress our respective development journeys over the next few years.”

Steve Caunce, AO.com chief executive said: “We’re really proud to, once again, be partnering with Lancashire County Cricket Club and we’re very excited to work with the team during the upcoming season.

“AO’s connection with the club gives us the opportunity to bring a bit of the AO Way to Emirates Old Trafford, and we’re looking forward to enhancing the fans’ experience this year.

“I think the two businesses have worked really well together in the last two years, but we’re also learning from each other and we will continue to do so.

“We’re really excited about bringing the AO Stand to Emirates Old Trafford and I can’t wait to see it this summer. Lancashire bring something different to the sport sponsorship world and I expect our relationship with the Club to go from strength to strength in the coming years.”
