Bristol Rovers’ Memorial Stadium pitch to undergo renovation

English League One football club Bristol Rovers is set to renovate the pitch at Memorial Stadium, the team’s home ground.

Contractors Koro will take off the pitch to begin the initial phase of work, while Power Harrow will assist in elevating compaction.

Following that, the surface will be laser levelled before 120 tonnes of sand are spread over the surface area, stone raked, and then treated with fertiliser before reseeding takes place.

Additionally, a new drainage system will be installed with a 150mm main drain around two sides of the pitch. There will also be six new pop-up sprinklers across the centre of the pitch.

Further upgrades will also be made in other parts of Memorial Stadium, including the installation of drop kerbs outside the Supporters Club match day shop and the Stadium Shop to assist wheelchair users.

Car parks will also have spaces clearly re-marked and numbered in both the main and inner car parks.

The Dribuild Suite will add new curtains and blinds, while all areas will be repainted and decorated. The suite will also receive carpet cleaning throughout and a deep clean in the kitchen areas.

There will also be a newly refurbished media suite to be used for post-match interviews.
