FanConnect to enhance supporter experience at Safeco Field

Digital technology company FanConnect has launched a voice-enabled fan engagement platform at Safeco Field, home of Major League Baseball franchise the Seattle Mariners.

The platform will utilise e-commerce and media company Amazon’s Alexa service. Amazon Alexa enables voice interaction with the user and will be deployed in suites at Safeco Field to allow patrons access to a range of information through televisions.

As well as watching a live feed of the game, patrons will be able to view exclusive camera shots, schedules, line-ups, social media feeds and other information such as traffic and weather. The new initiative will also facilitate food and beverage orders.

“Our platform is the first IPTV/digital signage platform to provide this service which increases fan interaction and enjoyment at the game,” Larry Witherspoon, chief executive of FanConnect, said. “FanConnect will continue to enhance its market leading platform with the latest technologies to optimise the fan experience.”

He added: “We are going to see more FanConnect platforms for many reasons – two being to increase the fan interaction and experience while allowing the venue to generate additional sponsorships. The FanConnect platform makes it incredibly easy for teams and venues to sell sponsor advertising.”
