Liverpool seeks to increase staff numbers at Anfield

English Premier League football club Liverpool has announced plans to expand the workforce at its Anfield home stadium.

According to the Liverpool Echo newspaper, the club is seeking to appoint people to various roles such as tour guides, chefs and sales staff, as well as matchday-focused positions including stewards.

A total of 36 job roles are currently on offer and the club will host a recruitment fair at the stadium on May 27 for those interested in applying for roles.

Earlier this year, Liverpool completed the first phase of an ongoing expansion project at Anfield with the opening of the new Main Stand, adding a further 8,500 seats to the stadium and boosting total capacity to 54,000.

However, the stand was only fully completed last month and with work having been ongoing throughout the 2016-17 season, fans have had to use temporary facilities when attending matches at the stadium.
