KSS’s Anfield main stand project shortlisted for awards

Design firm KSS’s project to build a new main stand at Anfield, the home of English Premier League football club Liverpool, has been shortlisted in the Design Week and Mixology17 awards.

The stand, which opened at the start of the 2016-17 season, has attracted widespread praise for its facilities, sightlines and hospitality offerings. The £115m (€133m/$150m) project increased the capacity of Anfield by 10,000 to 54,000.

Design Week has shortlisted the project for the ‘Hospitality and Workplace Interiors’ category, while Mixology17, which focuses on the commercial interiors market, has shortlisted the main stand development in the ‘Hospitality Interiors Project of the Year’ category.

“As architects and designers of the Main Stand, we have ensured a fantastic high quality and premium general admission experience for spectators setting a new standard in terms of innovation, facilities and comfort,” KSS said.

“We look forward to attending both the Design Week and Mixology17 award ceremonies later this year.”
