Chevrolet sponsors Little Caesars Arena

Automotive manufacturer Chevrolet has reached an agreement to become the official vehicle of Little Caesars Arena, the future home of NHL ice hockey team the Detroit Red Wings and NBA basketball franchise the Detroit Pistons.

Chevrolet already serves as the official vehicle of the Red Wings through an agreement with Olympia Entertainment, which manages the team and the new arena.

The new deal will see Chevrolet’s branding feature predominantly throughout the 20,000-capacity arena, which is due to open in September. The company will sponsor the northeast entrance to the facility and the Chevrolet Plaza event space.

Chevrolet nameplates will also be incorporated into arena displays, while its signature bowtie will be showcased in several key locations throughout the venue.

“We have enjoyed a fantastic relationship with the Detroit Red Wings and it was an honour for Chevrolet to celebrate the historic final season with the team and the fans at Joe Louis Arena,” said Paul Edwards, US vice-president of Chevrolet Marketing.

“We look forward to continuing to support the Red Wings and the revitalisation of our hometown, the City of Detroit, as a landmark partner in the new Little Caesars Arena – a perfect complement to our partnership with the (Major League Baseball team) Detroit Tigers and presence at Comerica Park.”
