Law firm sets first with Scotstoun Stadium stand sponsorship

Scottish law firm Harper McLeod has taken on naming rights to the West Stand at Glasgow’s Scotstoun Stadium as part of an expanded partnership with Scottish Pro14 rugby union club the Glasgow Warriors.

The stand will officially be known as the Harper McLeod West Stand as part of the agreement, the length of which was not disclosed.

The firm’s logo and branding will feature on the roof and signage of the stand.

Harper McLeod has sponsored the Harper McLeod Club Deck hospitality space since January 2015.

It marks the first time a company has sponsored a stand at the 6,600-capacity Scotstoun Stadium.

Nathan Bombrys, the Warriors’ managing director, said: “I think it says a lot for what Glasgow Warriors represents that such a prestigious firm – and an existing, valued member of our sponsor family – is prepared to share our ambitions in this way.

“As well as being leaders in their field, Harper Macleod has been an enthusiastic, active supporter of the club and we’re proud to have them as such a visible part of the Warriors’ identity.”

Harper McLeod chief executive Martin Darroch added: “We are delighted to extend our support of Glasgow Warriors by sponsoring the Harper Macleod West Stand.

“The club’s fantastic attendance figures are a testament to the Warriors’ profile in Scottish sport and our association has been a tremendous success so far, with a great rapport built up with the club’s supporters. When we first joined forces we highlighted the drive, growth and winning culture which we shared with the club, and that’s why the partnership has been so fruitful for both parties.

“The Harper Macleod West Stand is a part of the stadium I’m very familiar with having had family season tickets there for a number of years, and I’m looking forward to seeing all of the Warriors’ big names drive the team to even greater success this season.”
