Bangor City reveals new name for Nantporth home

Welsh Premier League football club Bangor City has today (Tuesday) announced that Vaughan Sports Management has upgraded its sponsorship deal to take on naming rights to the team’s Nantporth home stadium.

Although terms of the expanded agreement were not disclosed, the club did reveal its home ground will now be known as VSM Bangor City Football Club Stadium.

Vaughan Sports Management, which has served as the team’s main front-of-shirt sponsor for the past two seasons, will also take on additional sponsorship rights related to the club’s academy setup. Details of this section of the deal will be announced at a later date.

Bangor City’s next game at the newly-named stadium is against Aberystwyth Town on November 7.

The team has called Nantporth its home since 2012, when it moved to the 3,000-capacity stadium from Farrar Road, a 1,500-seater facility that hosted Bangor City matches from 1911 until 2011, but has since been demolished. The site of the stadium is now covered by a supermarket.
