NBA’s Suns team up with Fortress for stored value programme

NBA basketball franchise the Phoenix Suns has linked up with fan engagement firm Fortress to develop Arena Cash, an exclusive stored value programme offered to members of the SixthMan season ticket programme.

The Fortress application platform powers the match day and engagement activities of more than 130 sports teams globally. It has clients in Major League Baseball, the NHL ice hockey league, the NFL American football league and Major League Soccer, in addition to 90 per cent of football’s English Premier League.

Fans with Arena Cash will be able to purchase concessions and merchandise quickly and easily using their existing membership cards.

SixthMan members will also be able to conveniently transfer loaded value when forwarding tickets to friends through their account portal. Arena Cash is available to SixthMan members who renewed their season ticket plans for the 2017-18 season.

With the launch of Arena Cash, the Suns become Fortress’ first NBA client, rounding out a full client portfolio in each of the major sports leagues in the US.

“We are so proud to welcome the Suns into the Fortress family,” said Britton Stackhouse Miller, client service for Fortress. “Even as they celebrate their 50th season this year, this is a team that always looks forward to improve the experience for their fans. We are thrilled to work with them to develop innovative solutions to make game days even more special.”

Suns president and chief executive Jason Rowley said: “Every season, we look for new ways to enhance the fan experience at Talking Stick Resort Arena.
