VBO Tickets launches real-time SeatSocket selection feature

Event and ticketing technology firm VBO Tickets has unveiled its new SeatSocket seat-selection feature designed to enhance customer experience.

SeatSocket provides a live, real-time seat map update between servers and end users that the firm claims virtually eliminates seat selection issues when there’s high demand for reserve seating.

Most ticketing platforms ‘lock’ users into their seats for a duration of time and does not allow the customer to change seats or selections without reloading or navigating backwards in their browser.

VBO’s new seating feature allows customers to see which seats are available in real time as they shop for their preferred location to view an event.

The firm also states that SeatSocket eliminates the disheartening process of selecting ‘unavailable’ seats, while also creating a sense of urgency because customers can see a real-time visual of sales.

“We are pleased to offer our clients, affiliates and their customers SeatSocket, the industry-leading technology that simultaneously increases sales and customer satisfaction,” said VBO Tickets vice president of sales, Ríque Villa.

“VBO Tickets believes that technologies like SeatSocket offer our customers the transparency they want when purchasing tickets online for highly sought-after events.”

VBO Tickets, which was founded in 2012, serves clients in the fine and performing arts, comedy, improv, academics, festivals, concerts, academics, sports and corporate event fields.

VBO Tickets’ event and ticketing technology recently expanded its reach into the UK, Germany, South Africa, Malaysia and the Caribbean.
