Mobile payment firm Lyf Pay has partnered with French Ligue 1 football club Toulouse.
The firm will allow fans to make all their payments at the Stadium de Toulouse with their smartphone, including tickets, food and drink, and merchandise.
The company will also allow fans to use the mobile platform to make payments on Toulouse’s website.
“We are delighted to be able to accompany the Toulouse Football Club to offer all its supporters a simple and practical solution to pay for their purchases, tickets and drinks directly from their mobile,” said Frédéric Leclef, chief executive of Lyf Pay.
“After being the mobile payment application of more than twenty festivals in 2017, the stadium is the first sports venue to offer our application to its supporters. We believe that Lyf Pay meets the expectations of mainstream events with increasingly mobile and connected viewers.”
Toulouse hopes to increase the average number of spectators to the stadium through its integration of the mobile payment option.
Lyf Pay was founded in 2016 following the merger of Fivory and Wa.
