English Premiership rugby union club Leicester Tigers is to introduce SwipeStation units across Welford Road Stadium following a successful trial period.
The SwipeStation app allows fans to beat the queues by ordering refreshments on their mobile devices. The app is available through the Tigers’ official app.
Upon arriving at the stadium, fans will print off a receipt at the nearest SwipeStation unit using their phone, before presenting the receipt to bar staff in exchange for their order.
The club has encouraged fans to sign up to the service ahead of tomorrow’s (Saturday’s) Premiership match against Harlequins. Units will be situated at the Final Whistle Bar in the Holland & Barrett Stand, The Captains Bar in the Robin Hood Stand, as well as in the South Stand and Mattioli Woods Stand.
Staff will be on hand to assist fans during fixtures at Welford Road this season.
