The Ageas Bowl, home of English County Championship cricket team Hampshire, has signed a one-year partnership with the India Business Group.
Under the deal, the India Business Group will become an official partner of the Southampton-based venue and Hampshire. The agreement has been signed to coincide with the Indian cricket team’s tour of England this summer, with the Ageas Bowl set to host a Test match between England and India commencing August 30.
Based in the UK with a team of specialist researchers, consultants and partners in India, the India Business Group seeks to provide expertise, connections and cultural awareness to help organisations reach new markets and make successful deals.
As part of the collaboration, the Ageas Bowl has also been named as one of the official partners to The Indian Awards 2018, an event celebrating UK and India business trade, which is set to be held on May 17 in the Houses of Parliament.
Jonathan Crocker, chief commercial officer of the Ageas Bowl, said: “With the forthcoming England-India Test match in mind, partnering with the India Business Group is a natural fit for us.
“We are planning a good number of events in the lead up to and during the Test match which will see another exciting year of cricket at the Ageas Bowl.”
