Major League Soccer club Los Angeles Football Club (LAFC) has released an upgraded version of its mobile application experience to coincide with the opening of its new home stadium.
Developed in partnership with Venuetize, the app now includes a number of new features designed to improve fans’ experience at the team’s Banc of California Stadium. The first version of the app was launched in March.
Additional features include mobile ticketing and a mobile wallet for fans to use their own credit and debit cards to make any type of purchase at the stadium.
Supporters will also have access to an AI-powered chatbot named ‘Otto’, with the ability to ask the app questions in order to navigate their way around the venue.
In addition, improvements have been made to other aspects of the app the make it easier for fans to access the team’s schedule, roster and player bios.
“We have taken a mobile-first approach to every aspect of building our Club and stadium,” LAFC executive vice-president and chief business officer Larry Freedman said.
“Our goal has always been to focus on enhancing our fan and supporter experience, and with Venuetize we have built an app that ensures each fan will have a personalised, interactive experience with the Club and Banc of California Stadium.”

The app is available for download now on iPhone and Android.
