English county cricket club Hampshire has entered a wide-ranging sponsorship deal UK energy supplier Utilita Energy.
The agreement will run for three years and comes into effect ahead of the 2018 white-ball season.
Utilita Energy will receive branding exposure on the back of players’ shirts in all One-Day Cup and Vitality Blast matches, as well as on various surfaces inside the team’s Ageas Bowl home stadium.
As part of the deal, Utilita Energy will also serve as both the energy supplier and an official partner of the Ageas Bowl.
Jem Maidment, director of marketing and communications at Utilita Energy, said: “It’s an exciting move for Utilita and – with players such as South Africa Test great Hashim Amla having our logo emblazoned across the back of their shirts – I’m sure it will boost our brand awareness and recognition.
“It is fantastic to be supporting a local stadium that not only hosts county and international cricket but is also a top-class music venue. For the company to be powering the Ageas is something we all should feel proud about.”
Jonathan Crocker, chief commercial officer at Hampshire, added: “We are delighted to have agreed this partnership with Utilita and welcome them warmly to the Ageas Bowl and Hampshire Cricket for this season and the years ahead.”
