Glasgow 2018 European Championships has signed GL events Field & Lawn as its official main overlay supporter.
GL events Field & Lawn is a joint venture between global temporary event infrastructure and overlay specialist, GL events UK, and Field & Lawn, an Edinburgh-based supplier of marquee and temporary structures.
Under the agreement, the company will be responsible for managing and maintaining temporary infrastructures across the multi-sport competition, taking place between August 2-12.
This will include all competition and non-competition venues, including any temporary seating, scaffolding and staging.
Aileen Campbell, Scottish Government Minister for Public Health and Sport said: “Glasgow 2018 is a world-first event and, as such, a great opportunity for Scotland to showcase its expertise and proven track record in hosting major sporting events. As one of our key event supporters, GL events Field & Lawn, will help deliver the best Championships possible.”
Glasgow 2018 European Championships includes sports such as the existing European Championships for Aquatics, Cycling, Gymnastics, Rowing and Triathlon with a new Golf Team Championships.
