Oklahoma State University athletics has revealed an initiative to boost the fan experience at its Boone Pickens Stadium via enhanced concessions.
The multi-year plan will include more than $1.5m in concessions improvements through the university’s partnership with Sodexo.
Under the deal, a food court in the plaza level of the West endzone that will feature multiple local, regional and national restaurant partners is being created.
“The fan experience is important to us,” said OSU’s director of athletics Mike Holder. “We have spent a lot of time evaluating our work in this area and we will continue to do so.”
OSU’s restaurant partners for the 2018-19 season include Aspen Coffee, Chick-Fil-A, Coney Island, Curty Shack, Down Home D’s BBQ, Firehouse Subs, Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers, Pie Five, Pizza Hut, Slim Chickens, Thai Loco and Zaxby’s.
Boone Pickens Stadium will feature a total of 300 concession points of sale, all with the ability to accept credit cards and Apple Pay.
OSU Athletics recently partnered with Tailgate Guys to boost its fan experience. The organisation offers custom gameday experiences that include bellhops, catering, high peak tents, tables with linens, chairs, media TV packages and more.
