English football club Leyton Orient has issued a call to supporters with male dogs to help solve a fox problem at the team’s Brisbane Road stadium.
The London-based club posted on its website that a supporter is needed to walk their male dog around the stadium pitch in the morning and late afternoon… because foxes have been entering the playing surface.
Orient admitted that the request was a “strange one” but it is felt that the presence of a dog will help prevent further pitch invasions at Brisbane Road, which is also known as The Breyer Group Stadium for sponsorship reasons.
The club has asked fans to email marketing@leytonorient.net if they are able to help.
The club has seen the funny side, adding that this is “quite literally the one time we don’t want a fox in the box”.
🐕 NEWS: A bit of a weird one we know, but we're looking for a local supporter who is willing to walk their *male* dog around the O's pitch this week to help deal with a fox problem.
