Perth’s nib Stadium keeps it local with new beer partner

Australian brewery Gage Roads Brewing Co has added another local stadium to its partnership portfolio by agreeing a deal with Perth’s nib Stadium.

The five-year contract, commencing on August 27, was signed with the VenuesWest arm of the Western Australia government and grants Gage Roads the exclusive beer and cider contract at nib Stadium.

Gage Roads will provide a range of beer and cider options at nib Stadium, including their signature ALBY Crisp, Single Fin Summer Ale, Atomic Pale Ale, Hello Sunshine Cider and Matso’s Ginger Beer.

The latest deal with Gage Roads follows the local brewer’s successful eight months as Optus Stadium’s beer and cider supplier.

The Palmyra-based company has grown from being a Western Australian start-up to one of the country’s biggest independent brewers.

Western Australia’s Sport and Recreation Minister Mick Murray said: “The State Government is committed to buying local wherever possible and it’s fantastic that when Western Australians visit nib Stadium, they will be enjoying beer and cider produced only a matter of kilometres away.

“Gage Roads will increase its production markedly to keep up with the new demand generated by the nib Stadium contract – and that is good news for local jobs and the wider WA economy.”

The stadium is currently home to A-League football club Perth Glory and rugby union team the Western Force and hosts a number of concerts throughout the year.
