Major League Soccer franchise Los Angeles FC has teamed up with technology solutions provider Radius Networks to enhance the game-day experience at Banc of California Stadium.

As part of the agreement, Radius Networks’ Customer Location Platform will be launched at The Fields LA, the recently-opened urban food hall at Banc of California Stadium.

Radius Networks’ Customer Location Platform includes a feature known as Table Service, which uses a proprietary platform and location-enabled smart locators, along with the LAFC mobile app, to facilitate direct-order delivery.

As a result, LAFC fans will be able to place their order from the counter, a mobile kiosk, or using their phone, then find a seat before having their order delivered directly to them.

Once a customer’s order is ready, a server will view a monitor and locate them at their table at The Fields LA. The service is designed to decrease the wait time and eliminate crowding at the counter.

LAFC’s vice-president of IT, Christian Lau, said: “Guests don’t want to wait in long lines or wait for their number to be called for food and drinks; they want to enjoy the game, the stadium experience, and relax.

“The Radius Networks platform allows our guests to order food however they would like, and have it delivered quickly to their location. With our mobile-first strategy, we are excited to extend the service to mobile ordering, giving guests a more flexible and personalised dining experience.”

Radius Networks has also worked with LAFC to integrate with the club’s mobile app and create a Smart Stadium Proximity Cloud Network to drive fan engagement. The proximity engagement technology will help direct fans to their seats, drive traffic to points of interest at Banc of California Stadium, promote items at the team store and encourage social media engagement.
