Industry appointments round-up: August 18-24

A round-up of key appointments from within the sports and events industries over the past week.

Live Nation UK president and chief operating officer Paul Latham has announced his retirement after more than 30 years in the industry. Latham held a number of senior roles across venue operations, promotions and ticketing during his career.

No-fee ticketing marketplace TickPick has appointed ticketing and sports management veteran Tim Miller as head of strategic partnerships and planning. Miller will oversee TickPick’s growth and expansion nationally and around the world. Miller most recently served as vice-president of sales services at Austin-based QCue, which offers dynamic and time-based pricing solutions to live entertainment organisations.

The Six Nations Council has appointed Benjamin Morel as chief executive of Six Nations Rugby. Morel most recently served as managing director of the NBA basketball league in Europe and the Middle East. He will take up his new role on November 5.

UK-based promoter and music venue operator DHP Family has named Richie Deeney as its new head of brand partnerships. In the newly-created position, Deeney will work alongside DHP Family’s managing director George Akins and director of live Anton Lockwood.
