Buccaneers hit the beach with new stadium experience

NFL American football team the Tampa Bay Buccaneers has unveiled a new beach experience for fans attending games at Raymond James Stadium.

Dubbed a “one-of-a-kind” experience, Bucs Beach will feature music, live performances, tailgate games and photo opportunities, and will be located on the South Plaza outside the stadium gates.

The space will feature a Bud Light Krewe Ship, hammocks, sandy surfaces, oversized Adirondack chairs and a DJ. Signature drinks and local food trucks will also be available for fans to sample.

Bucs Beach will be open for three and a half hours before kick-off and a game ticket is not required to enter. Each game day will feature new art demonstrations, performances, giveaways, prizes and more. The initiative begins with this Sunday’s game against the Philadelphia Eagles.

The new initiative is in line with plans to enhance the game-day experience for Buccaneers fans and comes amid significant renovation work at Raymond James Stadium.

The Buccaneers are currently engaged in a $160m, multi-phase renovation of the stadium, and one of the new features will be Bar 76, which will be located in the lower level of the East Stadium Club. The 10,000-square-foot restaurant and bar will feature 76 varieties of beer, along with an array of build-it-yourself culinary stations and signature food items.
