FreedomPay adds Lincoln Financial Field to venue portfolio

Commerce technology provider FreedomPay has signed a multi-year partnership to enhance the fan experience at Lincoln Financial Field, home of the NFL’s Philadelphia Eagles.

Lincoln Financial Field will significantly upgrade its technology by installing the FreedomPay Commerce Platform across the stadium’s 300-plus point-of-sale terminals, which includes all food service, retail and mobile concessions.

The company already supports more than a dozen NFL stadiums and it has now added the home of the reigning Super Bowl champions to its portfolio.

FreedomPay partners with Appetize to enable quick chip and contactless EMV and its platform allows fans to get through the line more quickly and enjoy more of the game. The company will also offer full offline functionality for uninterrupted service during games and other stadium events.

Lincoln Financial Field will enable FreedomPay’s newest product offering, Decision Point Network, which includes an advertising platform on all customer-facing payment devices.

“We are thrilled to partner with Lincoln Financial Field and the World Champion Philadelphia Eagles,” the company’s founder and chief executive Tom Durovsik said. “FreedomPay’s unified commerce platform will ensure fans’ payments are processed smartly, securely and seamlessly at Lincoln Financial Field.”

Frank Gumienny, senior vice-president, chief financial officer for the Eagles, added: “Delivering an unrivalled gameday experience to Eagles fans is one of our core priorities as an organisation. FreedomPay’s emerging payments technology has quickly become a market leader over the past decade, providing safe and secure commerce solutions to the entertainment and hospitality industries. We look forward to enhancing the customer experience at Lincoln Financial Field with the FreedomPay Commerce Platform.”
