Mumford & Sons reschedule cancelled gigs

British folk rock band Mumford & Sons has rescheduled four concerts on its ongoing Delta Tour after being forced to cancel the initial dates due to production problems.

Earlier this week, the band cancelled gigs at Manchester Arena, Sheffield’s FlyDSA Arena, Cardiff’s Motorpoint Arena and Liverpool’s Echo Arena due to what it described as “unforeseen technical and logistical challenges”.

Mumford & Sons has debuted a new stage on this tour, which the band has described as “groundbreaking”. In a statement issued earlier this week explaining the cancellations, the band said it was “simply not humanly possible” to play the four shows.

The Liverpool gig has now been pencilled in for June 2 next year, with dates in Sheffield, Manchester and Cardiff rescheduled for June 4, June 6 and June 10.

In a statement published on its website, Mumford & Sons said: “We’re grateful for your patience and have done everything we can to get these shows rescheduled as soon as possible for you. We really hope you can join us but if not, refunds will be available from point of purchase. Looking forward to seeing you all soon.”

The tour got underway in Dublin last Friday and continues tomorrow (Friday) at Birmingham’s Genting Arena.
