Toshiba extends AEG partnership

AEG has extended a partnership with technology provider Toshiba that covers several of the entertainment company’s flagship facilities and assets.

The “multi-year, multi-million-dollar” renewal was brokered by the AEG Global Partnerships division.

As part of the renewed partnership, Toshiba will retain its founding partner status at Staples Center and its role as the official digital signage and display provider at LA Live, both in Los Angeles, whilst increasing the brand’s presence across other AEG venues.

Toshiba has also now additionally become the official copier and multi-function printer provider of AEG, Staples Center, LA Live, the LA Kings and selected AEG Presents festivals. Toshiba will also become an official partner of the LA Galaxy, Dignity Health Sports Park in Carson, and Sprint Center in Kansas City.

Toshiba and AEG have an existing relationship that spans facilities such as the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, the Mercedes-Benz Arena and Mercedes Platz in Berlin, and The O2 in London.

“This partnership now expands across some of the most iconic assets in our portfolio and we look forward to making our venues, teams and live events even more state-of-the art with the help of their cutting-edge technology,” Nick Baker, chief operating officer of AEG Global Partnerships, said.

Toshiba supplies AEG venues with various technologies, including digital LED screens, branded activations featuring video walls and interactive digital experiences.

Bill Melo, chief marketing executive for Toshiba America Business Solutions, added: “Our longstanding relationship with AEG, a global leader in sports and entertainment, represents a powerful opportunity for Toshiba to feature our technology across some of the world’s most iconic entertainment venues, sports teams and live events.”
