Falkirk asks fans to help with stadium clean up

Scottish League One football club Falkirk FC has reached out to its fans to support the club with a stadium clean up ahead of the 2019-20 campaign.

The club have requested any fans with a “spare couple of hours” to arrive at the Falkirk Stadium reception on Saturday at 10am to help ground staff with a clean up.

Falkirk said helpers would be provided with powerwashers, brushes and buckets to clean the 7,900-capacity arena.

“Just bring yourself along if you can and get involved!” the club said in a statement.

Many Falkirk fans have reacted negatively to the request as they are unhappy with the club’s owners after suffering relegation to the third tier of Scottish football for the first time in almost 40 years.

One supporter stated on Twitter: “What next? Ask fans to fill the bench due manager can’t get anymore players?”

Another added: “”What a f***ing brass neck you lot have, pay for you seat then clean your seat! Just when you thought it couldn’t get much worse.”

Falkirk open their League One campaign on August 3.
