Northampton adds Trapp’d ‘escape bus’ to enhance matchday experience

Northampton Town FC has teamed up with Trapp’d to bring its mobile escape room to boost the matchday experience for young fans at Sixfields Stadium.

The bus escape room will be available every match day at the League Two club’s 8,000-capacity home ground for over 8’s and on non-match days for groups, companies and schools.

A group of up to six people enter the football themed bus and have up to 30 minutes to ‘escape’ by working together and solving a number of football and Northampton Town-themed puzzles to secure their escape.

“The idea is that it adds to the matchday experience for young-to-middle range teenage children, as it gives them a pre-match experience with a difference,” a Northampton spokesperson told TheStadiumBusiness.com.

“It also allows us to add this experience to those young supporters who stage their birthday parties here on a matchday.”

Trapp’d is a Midlands-based company that designs escape rooms, with punters faced with several tasks to escape within the time limit. People do so by working together to unlock keys, crack codes, solve puzzles and follow the course of the game.

The firm also has escape room locations in Corby, Peterborough, Billing Aquadrome, Wellingborough and Kettering.
