Dundee United FC select Bleep as EPOS and Payments Partner

Bleep UK PLC installed their award-winning Retail and Hospitality EPOS and Payment solution at Tannadice Park in time for the new Scottish Championship season.

Bleep UK PLC has today announced that they have partnered with Dundee United FC to deliver a stadium-wide Retail and Hospitality EPOS solution for the Scottish Championship side.

The Bleep solution has been installed throughout Tannadice Park, covering the club shop, 3 hospitality lounges and 12 concourse outlets across all 4 stands. In total, 38 user-friendly TS-813 Android EPOS terminals have been deployed, each with a built-in, space-saving thermal printer, barcode scanner and POS Media customer video display – for engaging advertisements at the point of sale. Each EPOS terminal integrates with an Ingenico payment terminal, for fast and secure contactless payments, with no manual keying required to reduce operator errors.

The front end system is linked together by Bleeps’ cloud-based back office software, Web Back Office, for real-time sales reporting and stock control. W-BO allows for fast and efficient price and product changes and also the ability to view in-depth metrics and analytics, with a full suite of reporting, in addition to the matchday stock control function and cash offices features, designed specifically for football clubs and stadia. The project began in early July and was tested during pre-season friendlies and Betfred Cup games to ensure it was ready in time for the Ladbrokes Championship opener on the 3rd August against Inverness Caledonian Thistle.

Bleep was also tasked with linking the new club shop EPOS system with the eCommerce store. Working with the club’s digital partner, mtc Media, the newly built eCommerce website and Web Back Office were integrated so all online sales and stock levels for the club shop report in W-BO – giving management a full, clear and accurate picture of exactly what’s going on at all time.

Dundee United FC selected Bleep due to their proven track record within the sports stadia industry and their ability to provide systems that can drive revenue, increase spend per head, reduce queues, limit manual errors and theft and enhance the fan experience across all transaction points – something which the innovative Bleep EPOS and Payments solution is already delivering.

Gordon Bolton, Managing Director of Bleep UK PLC, commented:

“We are proud to partner with Dundee United on their EPOS and Payment project. Our track record catering for stadia and football clubs is second to none and we strive to deliver more from their EPOS and Payment solution in their hospitality, concourse and retail environments for this famous club. We are thrilled to add ‘The Tangerines’ to our ever-increasing portfolio of professional sports clients.

“This ambitious club are investing across all areas of the business and have trusted Bleep to help increase matchday revenues and the overall customer experience, whether inside the ground, within the hospitality lounges or in the club shop. The unique eCommerce integration with mtc now furthers our ability to provide complete stadia solutions for any sized club, across the UK.”

Securing the contract with Dundee United for the 2019/2020 season and beyond is part of Bleep’s ambitious attempts to capture more Football Clubs and Stadia operators and has come at a time where the award-winning EPOS provider is at its busiest. Bleep has deployed EPOS systems to several high profile sporting events and festivals over the summer, including, The Open, Wimbledon, MLB London Series and the Formula One, with the Rugby World Cup in Japan to follow from September.
